I’m a Kundiman fellow from the suburbs of Seattle, WA. I love traveling and have lived all around the world for various lengths of time: Kotzebue, Fairbanks, Sweet Briar, Seoul, Bonn, Glasgow. I am a poet, writer, educator, instructional designer, researcher, editor, and more. As a teacher for the Young Writers Workshop at the University of Virginia, I conducted poetry workshops for talented high school poets. I also taught intensive courses in English composition as an adjunct professor at Yonsei University, one of South Korea’s famed SKY schools. And I’m especially excited to be teaching a forthcoming poetry workshop for Kundiman this summer of 2021.

My personal interests are wide-ranging: making kimchi, cooking, eating, snowboarding, wrestling, hiking/camping, motorcycles, movies/TV, literature, music, art, museums, and travel (just to name probably too many in no particular order). These interests always find their way into my work, both in content and experience, both creative and professional.
